BLOCK® PURE UV
The BLOCK® Pure UV disinfector provides efficient decontamination of premises, based on the combination of HEPA filtration and of powerful UV-C fluorescent lamps, the UV radiation of which is lethal for microorganisms (bacteria, leaven, and viruses, incl. COVID-19). The UV-C radiation affects DNA/RNA of the microorganisms, thus destroying them.

Description of operation modes:
Day mode - Disinfection of air |
Under the day mode, the disinfecting of air in a room is performed by circulating of air, which is exposed to UV lamps in the closed disinfector. Inside the appliance microorganisms are exposed to a strong UV radiation throughout 2 seconds, which eliminates most of them. On its output from the appliance air is filtered by a high-capacity HEPA filter, which 99.99 % of particles from this air including both eliminated and surviving microorganisms. This combination of UV radiation and HEPA filtration results in nearly full removal of microorganisms from air. The circulation speed (disinfection) of all air in a room of up to 32 m2 (S500 model) and in a room of up to 60 m2 (S900 model) is 5 times per hour. Air exchange output is 500 m3/h for the S500 model, or 900 m3/h for the S900 model. |
Night mode - Disinfection of surfaceces |
Under the night mode the disinfection of air and of surfaces in a room runs when persons are not present and is the most efficient method of disinfection of air and ambient environment. During this mode the disinfector is open and the fan switched off. The disinfector is in the centre of the room, close to the most exposed surfaces that are decontaminated by direct UV radiation during a pre-programmed period. The direct exposure of the total air volume in a room is the most efficient method of air disinfection. The whole air volume is affected, germs on walls and on the floor are destroyed. The practical use of the direct exposure is limited to the rooms where no people and other living organisms are present. Upon entry of any person to the exposed space, the appliance is switched off by the safety sensor. |
